EVLA™

Valvular incompetence is a condition where the valves in the vein become dysfunctional, allowing blood to run backward into the lower leg. Damaged valves allow blood to leak backward and backflow causes blood to pool or collect in veins.

Over 60% of adults suffer from varicose veins, EVLA™ is here to change that. You can now get the relief you deserve with a simple 30-minute treatment. The best part? Unlike surgery, EVLA™ treatments don’t have a long recovery time, in fact, you won’t need any downtime after your session.

EVLA™ is a widely used MIS method for treating varicose veins. Instead of tying and removing the veins, they are ablated by laser energy. Treatments are virtually painless, take only 30 minutes, and don’t require ANY downtime.

WHAT EVLA™ TREATS

EVLA™ features some of the most advanced technology in varicose vein removal. Veins are treated evenly thanks to the EVLA’s unique laser and fiber combination. Additional features include:

  • Even Treatments
  • Reduced Discomfort
  • A fused tip for extra safety

HOW EVLA™ WORKS

EVLA™ brings a unique combination of 1470 nm laser along with radial (360°) fibers which deliver optimal uniformity of energy deposition along the vein wall. This leads to a potential reduction in sticking, carbonization, and excessive thermal damage; properties of special importance when working in critical areas which are sensitive to complications. The 360° emission fiber is a safe and effective product for medical applications in phlebology. The ink-free laser marking eases the position of fibers inside the vein. All fibers are provided with a fused tip for extra safety during the procedure. The fiber is available in two configurations - 600micron compatible with 6FR introducers, and 400micron compatible with 4FR introducers and micro-puncture kits.
